Simpson targets glamour tie

Josh Simpson is intent on helping Crawley reach the FA Cup third round after missing out on facing Manchester United last year.

The midfielder had already featured for Southend in the competition when Crawley, then a non-league club, were beaten 1-0 at Old Trafford in the fifth round. Town face Redbridge on Saturday and Simpson wants them to negotiate their passage to the next round to set up another possible glamour tie this season. "I didn't play at Manchester United and I'm looking forward to Redbridge," he told Crawley News. "We've just got to go out and do what we've been doing all season and do a professional job. Then the team can dream of a big draw. "That's what the FA Cup is all about, trying to get one of the big teams."
