Stockley stays with Stanley

Bournemouth striker Jayden Stockley has extended his loan stay at League Two outfit Accrington by a further month.

The 18-year-old moved to the Crown Ground on a one-month deal in November and has one goal in four appearances, a vital late equaliser in the League Two game at Macclesfield. Cherries boss Lee Bradbury previously cast doubt on the prospects of Stockley remaining in the north west, but the former Portsmouth and Manchester City forward's stance has softened. "I'm really glad to be staying up here," said Stockley. "I'm getting on really well with the lads and the management and I'm grateful that Lee Bradbury has let me extend the deal. "It's hard to come into a place where you don't know anyone and you have to try to hit top form straight away. "I've had a few games now, leading up to what I believe is my best form and hopefully I can prove that on Saturday and keep improving with every game I play."
