Tony Capaldi made his long-awaited return to action for Oxford in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Bristol City on Wednesday.
The former Plymouth and Cardiff man has been struggling with a back injury since pre-season and has yet to play a first-team match for the U's. Capaldi, who joined Oxford from Morecambe in the summer of last year, played 80 minutes of the 5-0 defeat to the npower Championship outfit. Fellow defender Adam Chapman also made his playing return, completing the full 90 minutes against the Robins.
