Barnett shuns Blackpool move

Crawley's Tyrone Barnett has turned down a move to Blackpool, much to the delight of manager Steve Evans, who wants to keep the striker.

The 26-year-old, who has scored 13 goals this season, held talks with the Championship promotion chasers late last week after Crawley accepted a bid of almost £1million. But he was back with the Town squad on Friday and played in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Plymouth. Boss Steve Evans told the club's official website: "I'm delighted he is still with us. I just wish the transfer window was now closed."
