Flo the way to go - Macken

Jon Macken says Florent Cuvelier's arrival has given Walsall's frontline a new lease of life in their fight against League One relegation.

Cuvelier arrived on loan from Stoke at the end of January, and his presence in the Saddlers side has coincided with an upturn in form - with Walsall unbeaten in their last four matches. The 19-year-old has scored twice in his six appearances to date, but striker Macken insists the Belgian has contributed more than goals to the cause. He told the club's official website: "As a group we're putting work in and the arrival of Flo Cuvelier has certainly helped us going forward and given us a different option. "His presence has also helped those around him and it's a great stage for the likes of Jamie Paterson to establish themselves and show what they can do. "Every game is important now and we've been working on the areas of our game that we maybe haven't done so well on earlier in the season in a bid to get them sorted."
