Dagenham and Redbridge have re-signed forward Zavon Hines on a two-year deal.

Hines played for the Daggers 31 times last season, scoring eight goals, before his season was cut short due to an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament. He was released in the summer before agreeing a deal to return to the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium, but manager Wayne Burnett has confirmed he will not be ready to play the opening game against Morecambe on Saturday. Burnett told the club's official website: "I'm very pleased to have re-signed Zavon. He did very well last season, extremely well in fact. "He won't be available to play straight away due to an ongoing injury, but he's committed to a two-year deal." Hines was the League Two player of the month in November and the 25-year-old has made over 100 professional appearances since coming through the ranks at West Ham. He has since played for Coventry, Burnley, Bournemouth and Bradford before joining Dagenham last summer.
