Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson was pleased to claim a "hard-fought victory" against MK Dons on Tuesday night.

Goals from Richard Cresswell and Matt Phillips at Bramall Lane lifted the Blades up to fourth in League One with a 2-1 win and Wilson was happy to beat one of his side's promotion rivals. "It was a hard-fought victory against a very good Milton Keynes side and we had to scrap every inch of the way to get the result," he told Sky Sports after the match. "It was a little bit nervy at the end but it's going to be like that when they're throwing caution to the wind. "Maybe we could have had a couple more goals but saying that we defended stoutly at times when we needed to because they had a lot of possession against us. "You've seen a very good MK Dons side today and it wasn't an easy game for us but we got three welcome points and now we can look forward to another home game on Saturday (against Exeter)." Wilson was delighted with the display of 17-year-old goalkeeper George Young after he replaced Steve Simonsen between the sticks. "I was delighted for him," he added. "It was a big decision but knowing George like we do he just took it with a pinch of salt and he went in there and did his job. "He will remember this for a long time and I hope there are many more games in front of him."
