Charlton assistant boss Tim Breacker has confirmed they are still interested in Dagenham hitman Paul Benson.
The Addicks had a bid refused earlier in the summer but are believed to be closer to agreeing a deal with their League One rivals after upping the price they are willing to pay. Breacker said: "We've made enquiries about him, as we have with other players. "I can't really say much more, but he's a player we like and, if possible, we'd like to bring him in."
