Powell: It was smash-and-grab

Charlton manager Chris Powell has praised match-winner Yann Kermorgant for scoring an injury-time winner against Bournemouth.

The win stretches the Addicks' lead at the top of League One to 13 points. The result could have turned Bournemouth's way if Harry Arter had not spurned a golden chance late on, but the Addicks remained patient and Kermorgant kept a cool head to divert Danny Hollands' stoppage-time corner. Powell, whose side have won 13 times on the road this season, said: "I said to Lee Bradbury afterwards that it was 0-0 really. A tricky game for us away from home, but we like playing away. "As in all games, there are moments of quality, which we had in the set-play. Danny Haynes who came on was lively, as he always is, and then Yann (Kermorgant) getting on the end of it. "Yann has been superb for us and he's been overdue a goal. We had one or two situations where really if we had the right pass or kept composure, we could have opened Kermorgant. "But we've carried on all season, especially when we score we don't lose. There are only two games which we haven't scored in and we've lost. It was a smash and grab for us here."
