Rams keeper prolongs loan agreement

Derby County goalkeeper Ross Atkins has had his loan spell at Tamworth extended until January. The 20-year-old joined the Blue Square Premier club on a month-long deal on 10th August and has impressed Lambs boss Gary Mills with his performances. He will now remain with Tamworth until 8th January. "It is a great experience for Ross to be out playing first-team football and it is a move that suits all parties," Derby manager Nigel Clough told the club's official website. "There is no substitute for gaining experience and we view this loan spell as an important part of his development. "Gary Mills has assembled a good, strong squad and they have started the season well, and from the reports we are getting back Ross has been playing well."
