Colchester begin their League One campaign with a trip to newly-promoted Gillingham.
The U's, who narrowly survived relegation last term, then entertain fellow new boys Port Vale before making the long trip to Sheffield United. Stevenage visit on Boxing Day followed by Crewe three days later while Joe Dunne's men see in the new year with a trip to MK Dons on January 1. Easter weekend sees Oldham visit on April 19 with the return game at Crewe on Easter Monday while their home campaign concludes with the visit of Brentford. They close their season at Walsall on May 3.
