Megson bemoans Reda ban blow

Sheffield Wednesday boss Gary Megson is disappointed at Reda Johnson's two-game suspension for collecting 10 yellow cards.

The 23-year-old centre-half has been a regular starter for the Owls this season but will now miss Saturday's clash at Exeter and the visit of Stevenage next Tuesday after picking up his latest booking in Tuesday night's FA Cup replay defeat to Blackpool. Megson said: "He's doing great on the goalscoring chart but has managed to get more bookings than goals. It's a disappointment that we're playing without him for the next two games. "When people look at the stature of him they think he's a lot older than he is. Some of the times the things he does are reckless, not in a nasty way, he just sees the ball and goes careering in. Because of his strength and physique people tend to bounce off him. "He has got himself 10 bookings, but hopefully he will learn these lessons."
