Purse boost for Pilgrims

Darren Purse is not expected to miss any games for Plymouth despite coming off on Saturday with blurred vision.

The centre-back, on loan from Millwall, clashed heads with Bantams striker James Hanson and was substituted at half-time in the 1-1 draw at Bradford. But Pilgrims manager Carl Fletcher stressed that Purse was taken off more as a precaution and expects the defender to be fine for the visit of Hereford this Saturday. "He got a bang on the head and he had blurred vision. He was concussed about four weeks ago, so you can't take a chance with it," he told Plymouth Herald. "That's understandable, you don't want to risk anything with a head injury. "Touch wood, he should be fine for Saturday, but Nelse (Curtis Nelson) came on in a tough game and acquitted himself well considering he has been out for a few days with illness."
