Plymouth midfielder Andres Gurrieri has agreed a new one-year deal with the Home Park club.
Gurrieri, 23, joined from Burton last summer and made 32 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice, as the Pilgrims finished 21st in League Two. Plymouth are also hoping that Player of the Year Onismor Bhasera will put pen to paper on a new deal. The Zimbabwean defender's contract has expired but the club have offered him new terms. Manager John Sheridan told The Herald: "We're still waiting on Baz. We're not going to wait all day obviously, but we've made him a good offer, a very good offer." Meanwhile, Sheridan has hinted that he would like to bring Crystal Palace forward Jason Banton back to Home Park for a second loan spell. Sheridan confirmed he is in the market for two or three more players after already bringing in Dominic Blizzard, Lewis Alessandra and Luke McCormick, along with Rueben Reid on loan. "I'm after a striker, left winger and possibly a left-back. I'm not hiding the fact," Sheridan added. "I'm going to have a very strong squad and those are the positions I've identified to bring in. "I like Jason Banton, everyone knows I do. He played a big part in us staying in the Football League last year." Banton scored six goals in 14 games in his first loan stint between January and April.
