Terriers appeal Lee dismissal

Huddersfield have appealed against the straight red card received by Alan Lee during Saturday's home win over Notts County.

Lee was sent off by referee Darren Drysdale in the 61st minute following an aerial challenge with Sam Sodje, but Town manager Lee Clark is convinced his striker did not deliberately foul the County defender. Clark told the club's official website: "We've put together evidence that we believe shows Alan did not foul Sam Sodje. "His battle with Sam Sodje had been very competitive all afternoon, but contact was accidental. "We know Sam had to go off injured following the collision, but there was no raised arm or intent on Alan's part." Lee will miss games against Charlton, Bournemouth and Sheffield Wednesday if the club's appeal is unsuccessful.
