Coventry winger Mark Marshall is hoping to earn a new deal to keep him at the club beyond the end of the season.

The 26-year-old joined the Sky Blues as a free agent in February after two years away from the game, having left previous club Barnet in 2012. He has made 13 appearances for Steven Pressley's side.

"Sometimes I still find that I'm pinching myself when I'm out on the pitch. I think what I've done is a massive achievement," said Marshall, whose short-term contract expires in the summer.

He added on the club's official website: "I think the season almost needs to finish so I can look back on it and finally realise how well I've done. But I still think there is more to come from me.

"I think a pre-season would be great for me. It gives you that extra fitness and the second wind players get in games. I've had to work on it during the season whilst other players just have it.

"I'm loving it here. When you get embraced by someone, you feel comfortable. I feel like the fans have embraced me here and because of that, I always go out looking to give my best for them."
