Keith Southern has parted ways with Fleetwood after a season and a half at the club.
The 34-year-old midfielder joined Fleetwood in the summer of 2014 but failed to cement his place and was loaned out to Sky Bet League 1 rivals Shrewsbury for the latter part of last season.
Southern failed to make an appearance in the current campaign and the Cod Army confirmed his departure via a short statement on their twitter account.
The statement read: "@ftfc can confirm that midfielder Keith Southern has left the club by mutual consent. #codarmy."
A former Everton trainee, Southern enjoyed a decade-long association with Blackpool and made over 300 league appearances for the Seasiders before a two-year stint at Huddersfield.
