Huddersfield Town have agreed a deal to sign Hull City midfielder Kevin Kilbane on loan for the rest of the season.

Kilbane has spent the past two years at the KC Stadium, but is now set to drop down to League One to join promotion hopefuls Huddersfield. The Republic of Ireland international has made 14 appearances in the Championship for Hull this season and can play in a variety of positions. Terriers manager Lee Clark is looking forward to having the 33-year-old in his squad. "Everyone knows about Kevin's quality as he has a wealth of experience of playing at the highest level of football and we're delighted to bring him into the club," Clark told the club's official website. "Obviously we have a void to fill with the injury to Damien Johnson and Kevin has gained over a quarter of his international caps playing in central midfield. "He has also played there for every one of his clubs, so although he is better known as a left-sided midfielder or defender he is such a good footballer and athlete that he performs that role extremely well."
