Walsall's new signing Adam Chambers said he jumped at the chance of teaming back up with manager Dean Smith.

The 30-year-old midfielder, a team-mate of former Orient skipper Smith during his five-year spell at Brisbane Road, on Friday signed a one-year deal at the Banks's Stadium with the option of a further year. Chambers added: "I've known Dean for many years and as soon as he expressed an interest in me, this is where I wanted to be. "I worked with him at Leyton Orient so I know what he's about and I'm excited by his plans here. "Being a local lad, I know that this is a good club and a nice place to come and play football. I spent five enjoyable years at Leyton Orient but I'm looking forward to a new challenge at Walsall."
