Djlali delight for Orient

Kieran Djilali improved his chances of a contract at Leyton Orient with two goals in their 3-1 friendly win over Braintree.

The out-of-contract Crystal Palace winger was one of four trialists given a run-out against the Blue Square Bet Premier side from Essex, and made his mark with a second-half double. Earlier midfielder Jimmy Smith was sent off for handling on the goal-line as the non-leaguers took the lead from the penalty spot. But Braintree were also reduced to 10 men and Jonathan Tehoue equalised before Djilali's brace. Fellow trialists Tom Kilbey, Agustin Battipiedi and Dave Buchanan all played in the second half.
