Knill targets fresh signings

Scunthorpe manager Alan Knill is hopeful of adding two fresh faces to his squad before the start of the upcoming season.

Knill is working on deals to bring trialists Mark Hughes and Jordan Keegan to Glanford Park permanently, with the Irish pair featuring in the Iron's recent tour of the Emerald Isle. "We had a look at the two of them when we were over there," Knill told the club's official website. "Since then we have been trying to do something with them. One of them is Mark Hughes - not the guy who used to play for Barnet, as we keep being asked. "He is a midfielder. The other is the forward Jordan Keegan, who was with Monahan last season." Knill also revealed he wants to bring in a defender and a striker on loan.
