Oldham defender Connor Brown is set for a long spell on the sidelines following the news that his knee injury will need surgery.
The 21-year-old full-back sustained the injury in the 3-1 victory over Port Vale and sat out the 1-0 loss to Tranmere as a result. Latics had hoped Brown would be back after the international break but boss Lee Johnson is bracing himself for a long-term absentee.
