Rosler proud of Bees showing

Boss Uwe Rosler was full of praise for his Brentford side's display as they played out a goalless draw at high-flying Wolves.

Leigh Griffiths was Wanderers' danger man, crashing an 11th-minute shot against the foot of a post and also going close with two more efforts in an entertaining first half. which also saw Clayton Donaldson squander two excellent chances for Brentford. Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme then saved late efforts from Toumani Diagouraga and Alan McCormack. Rosler said: "I am very proud of the players. We dug in. In the first 10 or 15 minutes they (Wolves) had some big momentum. "But we kept on being offensive and kept our pressure high and then we probably had the better chances in the first-half apart from the one that hit a post. "We had some very good counter-attacks and some good opportunities. "In the second half we went a little more compact and didn't pressure as high as we did in the first half and they were running out of ideas. "For me overall it was a fair point and I think we earned it. "In the beginning of the game I was probably too offensive as I said they really wanted to have a go at them. "The whole team dug in in the second half and in general I am very happy with individual performances, and I am very happy with the whole team as well." The Bees, who had scored 10 goals in their previous two league and cup games, had been chasing a seventh successive victory as they saw their winning run come to an end. But, in the process, they earned praise from Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett. "Brentford are a very good League One side as they have proved over the last couple of seasons and I am sure they will be there or thereabouts," Jackett said. "They made it tough for us. We had most of the ball and most of the play but they were a threat on the counter-attack."
