Gillingham have signed former West Ham United trainee Sam Baxter on non-contract terms.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper was released by the Premier League club at the end of January, having progressed through the ranks up to the Hammers' Under-21 squad since joining the club at the age of 15. Baxter, who has spent part of this season on loan at Isthmian league side Witham Town, could feature in Peter Taylor's squad for Tuesday night's Sky Bet League One trip to Stevenage.
