Tranmere assistant boss John McMahon insisted it was business as usual after Rovers sealed a 3-1 victory over Coventry.
Last Friday it emerged that the FA wanted to speak to 61-year-old Moore over allegations he broke rules by betting in a competition in which his side were involved. But strikes from Ryan Lowe and Jake Kirby, coupled with an own goal from Conor Thomas, sealed a valuable three points for Tranmere - who have suspended Moore while the investigation continues. "I think the performance typifies the way the players have dealt with the last week," said McMahon. "Hopefully we can maintain that and the fact that I am on the training ground every day and in every session means that taking over picking the team has been pretty much a seamless transition. "The players gave their backing and support. Ronnie Moore is still the manager until such time as we hear different and the situation is not for me to comment on. "I am proud of the players for how professional they have been in their performance. "When you create chances then you will always be in the game and we were bright and caused Coventry problems. "We were good all round and put our bodies on the line and you need to show desire at both ends of the pitch if you want to stop the ball going in your net." Lowe rolled home the opening goal from the penalty spot after 12 minutes after Matthew Pennington had been felled by Billy Daniels. Jason Koumas' free-kick was then headed into his own net by Thomas three minutes into the second half before substitute Kirby made it 3-0 just after the hour mark. Michael Petrasso pulled one back for the Sky Blues 11 minutes from time but it was too little too late.
