Oldham boss Paul Dickov saluted veteran striker Shefki Kuqi after he broke his goal drought in the 1-0 win over Tranmere.
The Latics dominated and earned their victory when Kuqi - without a goal in his 13 previous outings - hammered a spot-kick past Owain Fon Williams after Robbie Simpson was tripped by John Welsh. "Shefki Kuqi had gone a long time without scoring and had missed his last two penalties, but it says a lot about the guy that he stepped up for us and scored," said Dickov. "It will always turn around for you if you keep putting in performances and keep working as hard as he does."
