Tranmere have recalled Joe Thompson from his loan spell at League Two side Rochdale.
The winger, 24, has made seven appearances at Spotland since joining in March in a deal that was originally intended to last until the end of the season. But Rovers boss Ronnie Moore has activated a clause to return the player to Prenton Park to help the club's push for a play-off spot. Thompson had scored twice in 22 appearances for Rovers after joining from Rochdale in the summer.
