Saunders: We were ruthless

Dean Saunders felt his Doncaster side were 'ruthless' in overcoming Notts County to stretch their unbeaten run to five games.

After a dismal first half, quickfire goals from Paul Keegan and substitute Chris Brown in the second period gave Rovers another three points on the road after a win at table-topping Tranmere on Tuesday night. Saunders thought it was 'professional team performance' that saw his side leapfrog their opponents in the League One table. "I don't think they really had a shot for Gary Woods to save," said Saunders, whose team is now fifth in the standings. "They are a good team but we were quite comfortable all afternoon and scored two great goals and could have had a few more. "We purposely let them have the ball in their own half and we knew we have players who can score, so we just had to be solid and not give them anything and not make mistakes. "We've had a really good week against some really good teams."
