Artell feels fit to face Silkmen

Defender David Artell thinks he may be ready to return for Crewe when they welcome Macclesfield this Saturday.

The centre-half has been plagued by a hamstring injury in recent weeks but believes he has put that problem behind him in time for the Silkmen's visit. He told the Alex's official website: "It has been a long time coming but I am back in training and feeling fine. "It seems a long time because when I initially had the injury I didn't think it would be that long before I came back. "It was perhaps that last 10-20% when it came to the sprinting that was holding me back. I've worked hard since I've been out and now it is my aim to get back into the team as soon as possible. "I have had no ill-effects from returning to full training and if I can get some successive days training under my belt then I should be available for the weekend."
