Crewe teenager George Cooper has committed his future to the club by signing a three-year contract.

The 17-year-old winger has been rewarded for his emergence through the Alex Academy with a deal that keeps him at Gresty Road until the summer of 2016. Manager Steve Davis told the club's official website: "We always try and be pro-active with our own young players and George is the latest talent to emerge from the first year scholars. "He is an outstanding talent and has been in great form this season. Dario (Gradi) has always looked to reward young players when they deserve it and that has been the case again with George. "We are delighted that he is here and here for a long period because our supporters enjoy watching our young players come through the system and play in our first team. "The young players at this club are the heartbeat and key to our survival. "George is certainly heading the right way and has been rewarded for all his hard work." Meanwhile, Cameron Park has returned to parent club Middlesbrough following the end of his one-month loan spell. The 21-year-old winger made four appearances for the Alex.
