Port Vale have announced the signing of defender Ryan McGivern from Hibernian on a two-year deal.
The 24-year-old Northern Ireland international has 19 caps for his country and over 130 professional appearances. He came through the academy at Man City, making one substitute appearance for the first team. He had loan spells at Morecambe, Leicester, Walsall, Crystal Palace, Bristol City and Hibernian, before making a permanent switch to the Scottish side. Last season he made 38 appearances for his club in all competitions, as Hibernian were relegated from the SPL via the play-offs.
