Howe hails McQuoid after brace

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe saluted the qualities of Josh McQuoid as his brace helped secure a 4-0 FA Cup win over Dagenham.

McQuoid's 30th-minute strike handed the Cherries a slender half-time advantage, which he added to after the break either side of goals from Marc Pugh and Wes Fogden. Howe, who swapped Burnley for a second stint with Bournemouth last month, said: "To score four and keep a clean sheet was excellent. Some of our attacking play in the second half was exciting. "I was pleased for Josh. I had him at Burnley last season and he is more than capable of playing at Championship level. "I was surprised he found his way back to Bournemouth from Millwall so soon. But this is an ambitious club and in some respects it is a good move for him."
