Goulding: No pressure on us

Jeff Goulding insists the pressure is off Cheltenham as the League Two title race intensifies.

The Robins currently occupy an automatic promotion berth in the Football League's basement division after defying pre-season predictions of a relegation dogfight at Whaddon Road. However, having proved the doubters wrong already this term, striker Goulding thinks one or two larger clubs battling with Cheltenham for top spot have much more to lose as the term draws to a close. "Because we are Cheltenham people don't expect us to stay up there and that makes it a little easier than for Crawley or Swindon, who are expected to win the league or get promotion," he said. "We need to get our heads down and work hard and treat every game the same. At least we know if we win every game from now until the end of the season then we would go up. "That might not happen but it's a good position to be in."
