Defender suffers suspected broken leg

Chesterfield fear the worst after Gregor Robertson sustained a suspected broken leg in Tuesday's 3-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Carlisle. The defender was carried off on a stretcher after a challenge with Tom Taiwo during the first half, which led to the tie being held up for eight minutes Chesterfield assistant manager Tommy Wright admits the situation does not look good, with Robertson having been taken to hospital. "It was an innocuous challenge and there was no animosity in it but I think he's broken his leg and it looks a bad one as well," said Wright. "It's a big disappointment. Gregor has done really well since we have been here. It was just a coming together but these things happen in football."
