Aldershot goalkeeper Ross Worner has agreed a new deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2013/14 season.

Worner joined the Shots last summer after a season at Charlton and the 22-year-old has made 22 appearances for Dean Holdsworth's side during the current campaign. "Ross has a big future in football if he carries on the way he is," Holdsworth told the club's official website. "(Goalkeeping coach) Ashley Bayes has been superb with all our goalkeepers and is an important part of our staff. This is another positive move for the club as we look to the future." Worner added: "I want to stay at Aldershot. It is a good club who I want to play for. I didn't expect to play as soon as I did when I arrived in the summer but it has been a big period for me and I have gained some great experiences in a short space of time. "It has been fully enjoyable and I am here because I want the club to push on. The club has ambition and we have a great goalkeeping coach in Ashley Bayes."
