Ling gives Bantams credit

Martin Ling struggled to criticise Torquay after their seven-game winning streak came to an end with a 2-1 home defeat to Bradford.

Goals from Kyel Reid and Craig Fagan cancelled out Danny Stevens' opener but Ling will not lose too much sleep. He said: "We never had enough lads out there playing to their full potential. But I also feel we have come up against a side that played a perfect game plan. Their two best players were their two central defenders and sometimes you've got to give credit where it is due, to the other team. "I thought their first goal could have been stopped but the second was a super goal from them. It was a little bit of a culture shock because we got in front and then they scored and we were a bit taken aback because we don't concede goals. "We had a bit of tempo and purpose to us in the second half and recently we have been able to turn that into results, but you cannot keep pulling rabbits out of the hat. "Seven wins on the trot is the best run I have ever been on as a manager and I told the players to take some plaudits for that. We are disappointed on the day but the recent run has been superb."
