Cook rues shocking defence

Accrington manager Paul Cook bemoaned his side's defensive failings as Swindon condemned them to a fourth straight defeat.

Paul Benson bagged a brace at the County Ground to leave Stanley without a goal or a point to their name since Cook succeeded John Coleman at the helm three matches ago. "We shot ourselves in the foot with the way we defended in the first half," he said. "We know Swindon are flying but didn't do enough to combat them. "The second half was much better but it was too late by then. "I have only been here eight days but people keep telling me we can't score and can't win so it is important to get some points on the board. "I'm not naive enough to think we could not be sucked into trouble."
