Hill: Bad night at the office

Rochdale boss Keith Hill was left to curse Jason Kennedy's missed header after his side lost 3-0 at home to Accrington on Tuesday.

Accrington hit Dale with a sucker punch in the 76th minute of the League Two clash at Spotland when Lee Molyneux sent a thunderous 30-yard strike into the top right-hand corner of Josh Lillis' net. And he followed that up minutes later with a stunning 25-yard free-kick before Romuald Boco added a third. Hill said: "Two world-class strikes made the difference and the fact that we don't look comfortable in front of the opposition's goal. "In the first half, Jason Kennedy has got to score and that would have changed the whole complexion of the game. "You have to give fair reward to the opposition because they came with a gameplan and it worked. "We don't seem to be confident in front of goal at all. "I see a lot of confidence from our players in the week. I wanted us to handle the ball a lot better than we did at Barnet last Saturday and we did that to a certain degree, but the scoreline reflects a bad night at the office from a results point of view and we have got to improve on those results."
