Daggers bring in Spurs' Miles

Dagenham have brought in highly-regarded Tottenham goalkeeper Jonathan Miles on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old stopper has risen through the ranks at White Hart Lane and enjoyed 13 appearances for the club's Under-21 side this term, although he is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Premier League side. He comes in with Daggers stopper Chris Lewington a major injury doubt for the forthcoming Easter double-header due to the back injury which forced him off in last Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Fleetwood. Daggers interim manager Wayne Burnett told the club's official website: "I am delighted to welcome Jonathan to the club, we know Spurs rate him very highly. "We've had to bring him as we don't believe Chris Lewington will be available for selection. The goalkeeping coach at Spurs, who we are friends with, has helped us out and loaned us a goalkeeper that they rate very highly."
