Ainsworth takes the positives

Wycombe player-manager Gareth Ainsworth said he was "very proud" after his side held Northampton to a goalless draw.

Even though his side failed to get on the scoresheet, Ainsworth took plenty of positives from the performance. He said: "I'm satisfied and very proud because I can put the DVD on and say that's the minimum requirement because we battled well. "I felt we made the right decisions at the right times. They came at us in the first 20 minutes and I thought we were in for a bombardment. "They got beaten by York on Saturday and they wanted to put that right so they came here to win. "A clean sheet is a massive positive and huge plusses were people like Matt McClure coming in. We played a different formation in midfield again and the lads adapted really well. "I thought Charles Dunne was magnificent. He didn't get bullied, he's grown as a player with his heading and his tackling and he's become a man. "Matt Ingram's going to be pleased with three clean sheets in his first five games so it's a great start to his goalkeeping career."
