Chris Brass is expected to be appointed as Torquay's new assistant manager next week after agreeing a deal at Plainmoor.
The 37-year-old, who assisted Alan Knill during the run in last season, has been offered a deal by the Gulls and the manager believes it is close to completion. "It's more or less agreed, and there shouldn't be any problems," Knill told the Herald Express. "Chris will be down here on Monday, and it will probably all be completed next week." Brass, who was also Knill's right-hand man at Bury and Scunthorpe, spent two months with Torquay during the 1994/95 season.
