Northampton have bolstered their ranks with the capture of Mathias Kouo-Doumbe on a deal until the end of the season.

The centre-back was released by MK Dons at the end of last term following four years with the League One club in which he made 141 appearances, scoring 12 goals. The Frenchman, 33, started his career with Paris St Germain before signing for Hibernian in 2001 and then moving to Plymouth three years later. Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd said: "Mathias is a very experienced defender who has played a lot of games. "It's taken us a little bit of time to get everything sorted but he is the right one for us and that's why we've waited a little bit of time to get him."
