Worthington call for calm

York manager Nigel Worthington believes his side have to keep calm when ahead after throwing away a lead to draw 1-1 with Plymouth.

The Minstermen were on course for an important three points following Ryan Bowman's header but Tope Obadeyi's equaliser meant they had to settle for a draw. Despite the setback, Worthington praised his side's performance but he believes they need to be more ruthless in front of goal. "I thought first half we were excellent but we just didn't score," he said. "The quality from us was excellent at times and so was the tempo. We knew second half we needed to crank up the pressure and turn the screw to see the game through. "We got a very good goal to take the lead but we then conceded a silly free kick and if you don't defend then they score. In the last 10 minutes we could have lost the game. When you're on top in the first half you have to go for the jugular and kill the game off. "We just need to keep a calm head on the pitch and keep our discipline to see the game through. We almost lost the game at the end after a high percentage of the ball, so we just need to tidy up on that sooner rather than later."
