Walsall's Andy Butler views the club's season start positively and is now taking a welcome rest before their Bournemouth trip.
The Saddlers started the campaign with victory over Leyton Orient before a Carling Cup defeat to Middlesbrough was followed up by a point at Hartlepool and a 3-2 defeat at Sheffield United, in which Dean Smith's men had forged a two-nil advantage at Bramall Lane. Saturday's 1-1 draw against Yeovil completed the opening five-match cycle and the club can now take advantage of their first midweek break since the season got underway. "It was a tough game and credit to Yeovil, they made life difficult for us," the skipper the club's official website. "Jon Macken's goal was fantastic but we were disappointed with the goal we conceded. Unfortunately we couldn't pick up three points on this occasion but we'll take the positives out of the game and move on. "It's a decent start; we've got five points on the board and have played well in games so we can't really grumble too much." He added: "We'll get some rest in the early part of the week and then be ready to kick on at Bournemouth at the weekend. The matches have certainly come thick and fast recently and the lads have had to play with 10 men in two of them, so it's been a busy start for us."
