Boss hails 'fantastic' Dons

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson feels everything is coming together nicely for his side after a 5-1 demolition of Colchester.

Luke Chadwick's brace and further goals from Shaun Williams, Jon Otsemobor and substitute Ryan Lowe gave the Dons a fifth win in six npower League One outings on a day when debutant Patrick Bamford, on loan from Chelsea, shone at stadium:mk. "It was a fantastic performance," said Robinson. "Over the course of the last three or four weeks we've added three young players who have got plenty of pace, and you've seen that. "They are frightening when they open them legs. Patrick (Bamford) has a deceiving type of pace like Fernando Torres, where he doesn't look like he's going to get there but then he opens his legs with his long strides. The penalty was a phenomenal turn of pace from him and he set three goals up in the period he was on. He also had two or three shots and he was always a threat against a good Colchester side. "We've got fantastic pace and power in the forward line now and, with the quality of (Stephen) Gleeson and (Darren) Potter behind, they are going to find them. "It was also nice for Otsemobor to score, I think he's made a big difference to the football club."
