Turner relieved by win

Graham Turner's overriding emotion was one of relief after Shrewsbury earned their first away win of the term with a 1-0 victory at Coventry.

Marvin Morgan's 62nd-minute strike was the difference between the two sides and also saw the Shrews complete the double over Coventry after their 4-1 win in the previous meeting. Coventry went into the game unbeaten in 10 games and were left wondering how that run had come to an end after registering 21 efforts on goal. But it was Shrewsbury who left with the points, to the delight of their manager. "It's a relief," said Turner. "I think I am right in saying that we are the last side in the division to get an away victory and I'm delighted that we have got it at a place like this. "Coventry had a number of near misses, but likewise we got into one or two really good positions. But it's pleasing to have another clean sheet, that's two on the trot now. "It was an excellent defensive performance, typified by the goalkeeper, who I thought had another outstanding game for us. "The anxiety comes from the record we have had. We have been prone to conceding late goals, equalisers or winners against us, so you get that anxiety and you get that anxiety on the pitch as well, so we are glad to have come through it. It won't change our philosophy, home or away."
