Bristol Rovers have had a mass clearout following their relegation from League One as they prepare for next season.

The Pirates have released 17 players, including midfielder Jeff Hughes and goalkeeper Mike Green. Darryl Duffy and Carl Regan, who were on loan at Hibernian and Notts County respectively, will also be leaving the Memorial Stadium this summer. JP Kalala, Gavin Williams, Danny Senda and Jerel Ifil, who joined the club towards the end of this season, have also been released. Nine of Rovers' second-year scholars were not offered professional contracts. Meanwhile, Harry Pell is currently discussing terms with a view to extending his deal at the club.
