Macc boss remains upbeat

Image: Draper: Will miss Aldershot clash

Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson is refusing to dwell on the loss of Ross Draper and Vinny Mukendi for the game with Aldershot.

Both players collected their fifth bookings of the season in last weekend's 2-2 draw against Southend in the FA Cup first round and must now serve one-match bans so will miss Saturday's home clash. Simpson said: "Suspensions are part and parcel of the game and the way someone like Ross plays I don't think it's possible to go through a season without getting suspended. But I wouldn't want him to change. "Perhaps some of Vinny's cautions were a bit silly and avoidable. But he's a young lad and I'm sure he'll learn from the experience and having to sit this one out. "It's of course a chance for the two players who come in to replace them and I believe we've got the strength in depth now to deal with suspensions when they come along."
