Doncaster Rovers defender James O'Connor has joined Derby on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
O'Connor, who has the option of a third year, joined Rovers from Sean O'Driscoll's Bournemouth in 2006 and quickly became a fans' favourite. He played a vital part in Rovers' Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory at the Millennium Stadium in 2007 and was named man of the match in the League One play-off final win over Leeds at Wembley the following season. O'Connor was named Rovers' player of the year after a succession of impressive performance at both right-back and centre-back in the Championship the following season.
