Bentley: Two points dropped

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley was disappointed not to see his side build on their early lead in the 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers.

Jack Redshaw gave the hosts a second-minute lead and Rovers survived a first-half onslaught before Eliot Richards secured a 1-1 draw shortly after the interval. Bentley said: "We had a great start and I was hoping we could build on it but it wasn't to be unfortunately. "We had several chances to get a second goal in the first half but didn't take them and that was disappointing because I think if we had got two goals ahead it would have been difficult for them to get back into it. "To be honest I didn't want half time to come because we were playing so well and it just stopped our flow. "We gave away a poor goal and then the game became a bit open and we didn't look as solid and as disciplined as we had in the first 45 minutes. "At the end of the day it is another point and it still means we have only lost one game at home in about five months but I really think we could have had more."
